These lenses have been around for a decade or more, and they offer the convenience of sunglasses without having to wear them over your prescription glasses or having to constantly switch between the two. Transitions Signature VII lenses are fully clear indoors in all colors: grey, brown, and graphite green. They handled clouds, snow and sun well. Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features. Thanks very much for doing the lenses for me - my impression has been very positive. Tried Drivewear in the car first... stunning contrast sensitivity improvement. I made the transition into the cockpit next. Transitions Drivewear lenses are capable of sensing and reacting to varying light conditions both outside and behind the windshield of the car. Getting my third pair this month. They are tinted lenses that change from a light yellow to a darker auburn depending on the UV & incandescent light levels. I picked my Rx up last Friday and they work great. It would be hard to imagine this product not taking off like a rocket. Not only are they now my pick for driving, but they are better than my current favourites for Golf! Transitions Drivewear is a photochromic and polarized sunglass lens that changes colour behind the car windscreen. Beyond the convenience and safety, which are significant, there is the lack of glare, clarity and crispness, the ability to capture ambient light, and the ability to adjust immediately from sunlight to darkness and vice versa. Because of this it is much better suited for driving etc where the windshield etc normally absorbs the uv light causing the transitions not to darken. I put them in the UV tester and they did turn copper-y, but hard to say if dark enough. This page works best with JavaScript. Been using Transitions lens (not from Costco) for more years than I can remember. In all tint stages I have found the Drivewear lens to be effective at eliminating reflected glare. Transition™ has created several options over the years, but the four best known are Signature GEN 8, XTRActive, Vantage, and DriveWear. Everything is sharper and clearer, sunny days, rainy days, cloudy days and hazy days. These are the best lenses I ever had. That means the lens will darken to a sunglass tint even behind a windshield that blocks UV light, a Transitions shortcoming until now. I am a fan of brown lenses anyhow but the variety of places that the various filter colors improves my vision, and in extreme comfort, has me wearing them as much as possible. To give them a try, we hit the road. I probably would not make a good person to make a testimonial, because nobody would believe me. I’ve played wearing these lenses in every kind of condition. In contrast to the transitions lenses, the Drivewear works not only on uv light but also via natural light.
